- Create your account. Sign up with your email and confirm it. Your tackle and conditions are private to your account.
- Scan your tackle. Point your camera at a lure package and SnapRig reads the name, brand, size, and color into your inventory. You can also add items by hand.
- Describe where you are fishing. Water clarity, cover, depth, season, and conditions.
- Get your plan. Ranked lures you own, each with a buildable rig, a reason it fits, a retrieve, and a Coach's Tip. Tell SnapRig what worked and your next plan gets sharper.
Frequently asked questions
How does the tackle scanner work?
Your photo is analyzed by an AI vision model to read what is printed on the package. It fills in the fields it can read and leaves the rest blank for you to complete. It is an assistant, not a guarantee, so review what it reads before saving.
A scan came back mostly blank. Why?
The model only fills in what it can clearly read. Glare, blur, or small text can make a field unreadable, and it leaves that field blank rather than guess. Retake the photo straight-on in good light, or type the missing details in.
Are the recommendations a guarantee I will catch fish?
No. SnapRig helps you prepare and decide, working from the tackle you own and the conditions you describe. It does not promise fish, and you are always responsible for knowing and following your local fishing licenses, seasons, and limits.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your tackle, conditions, and feedback are private to your account and are never shown to other users or sold. Photos you scan are analyzed and are not stored on our servers after processing. See our Privacy Policy.
What is SnapRig Pro?
SnapRig is free to use, including the full recommendation engine, your inventory, a free Coach's Tip on every pick, and a limited number of AI scans. SnapRig Pro is an optional subscription that unlocks generous AI scanning and the deeper Coach+ coaching (advanced retrieve, why a pick beats the runner-up, common mistakes, and seasonal and weather adjustments).
How much is Pro and how do I manage or cancel it?
Pro is offered as a monthly and an annual plan (annual is the better value); current prices are shown in the app in your local currency. It is an auto-renewable subscription billed through your Apple ID. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions); cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
How do I restore a purchase on a new device?
Open the paywall and tap Restore purchases.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the app: Account → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account and all associated data (tackle, boxes, shopping list, feedback, and history). It cannot be undone.
Which fish does SnapRig support?
SnapRig is built bass-first today.
